It is early December and there is buzz building in Manchester about the upcoming Christmas holidays and celebrations.
As part of my retirement plans I have planned 5 Leaving Do’s.
The first is a weekend away in nearby Liverpool with a couple of friends that I go on holiday with every year.
The following weekend I will be in Morecambe to say farewell to members of my family.
My final day in work is Thursday 15th December and I have invited everyone from work, who cares to join me for a drink, to meet after work in Media City Salford.
The following afternoon I have arranged to meet up with a group of people I used to work with in the past for drinks in Manchester city centre.
Finally on the Saturday I am meeting up with some long time friends from Stretford, Manchester, for a bit of a boozy send off.
It is now Wednesday morning 14th December and the British Heart Foundation have just been and taken away all my furniture. It is a relief to me, that that job is now out of the way.
I’m sleeping in sleeping bag on blow up mattress until I fly next Monday
I’ve got quite a few boozy nights ahead, so I should be able to sleep ok.
